We’re not your typical estate agents. We’re BuckleyBrown, a team of property experts who value first-class service, innovative marketing and building genuine relationships. Our lives are in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, which means we truly know the areas we serve.

Established in 2015 with just four members of staff, we’ve grown into a powerhouse team of almost 50. In 2021, we proudly opened our second branch in Edwinstowe, followed by our third in Bolsover in 2025, alongside the launch of our dedicated Lettings Head Office the same year. Our network of local offices has made us the trusted agent of choice in our community.

Our ethos was clear, to provide a more personable, bespoke service and to be pioneers within the industry. And to this day, that is exactly what we stand for.

Recognised by the British Property Awards as the Best Agent in our region for nine consecutive years, we remain committed to raising the standard, and then exceeding it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to sell a house?
The time it takes to sell a property can vary depending on factors such as market conditions, location, price, and demand. On average, a sale can take between 12-16 weeks from sale to completion. At Buckley Brown, we work proactively to achieve the best possible price for your property while keeping the process as smooth and efficient as possible.
You’re not legally required to use an estate agent, but having a professional team on your side can make a big difference. An experienced estate agent will handle property marketing, viewings, negotiations, and help ensure a legally sound sale — often achieving a better price and faster result than selling privately.

Typical costs include:

  • Estate agent fees – usually a percentage of the final sale price.
  • Conveyancing/solicitor fees – for handling the legal side of your sale.
  • Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) – required by law before marketing your property.
  • Removal costs – if you’re moving home.
  • Mortgage fees – such as early repayment charges (if applicable).
  • We’ll be happy to provide a clear breakdown of all expected costs upfront.
Yes. By law, you must have a valid EPC before your property can be marketed. It provides information on your home’s energy efficiency and is valid for 10 years. If you don’t already have one, we can help arrange an EPC quickly and easily.
It’s best to instruct a solicitor or conveyancer as soon as your property is put on the market. Having your legal work underway early helps prevent delays once you accept an offer, allowing your sale to progress more smoothly.
